Biography

Nusirat Funmilayo Gatta, is a lecturer II in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with more than 9 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

She has served as Library Officer in Department of Statistics, Member, Department of Statistics Environmental Sanitation Committee and Dress Code Committee, Faculty of Physical Sciences Her areas of research interest cover Econometrics, Survival Analysis, Data Mining and Statistical Modelling.

She has more than ten publications in reputable outlets covering journals and edited conference proceedings. She has successfully supervised several undergraduate projects.

Mrs. Gatta is a member of professional bodies within and outside Nigeria, these includes, Nigerian Mathematical Society, International Biometric Society (IBS), Nigerian Women in Mathematical North Central Zone and Professional Statistician Society of Nigeria (PSSN)
